Tim Groot, Founder and CEO, developed the concept for Grip while working in the events industry. As a teenager, he attended conferences with his father, a tulip grower in the Netherlands. After moving to London, he realised the value industry events provided to facilitate valuable business connections and delivering the best return of time for organisers and attendees.

In 2016, we were a finalist in the IBTM Tech Watch awards. In 2017 we won the Technology awards with UFI, and iMEX event tech of the year in the US.
In 2020, we expanded into territories like the US and Dubai. In 2021, we announced a Series A funding round of $13 million which will help us expand our services and meet our clients' expectations.
