Product Release Notes: 12th April 2021

We’re pleased to announce the product updates from 29th March to 9th April in our latest product release notes. For further information on any of the points below, please contact your Grip representative.

Improvements & New Features: Participants

1. Hybrid Event Participant Experience Developments

New Icons and Tags added for visibility on Hybrid events.

  • Hybrid and Virtual tags added on users and meetings
  • Meeting locations display the type of location it is in brackets
  • New Welcome Message when onboarding

Why? To give visibility and clarity to users that are attending Hybrid events.

Available To: All users
Release Type: Can be toggled on or off
Release Date: 9/4/2021

2. Redesign of session details page

New user interface on the session details page that aligns it with the new style of Event Agenda. New features added on the page:

  • Send to calendar button
  • Additional actions on sponsors (Swipe, Send Message, View Profile, Request a meeting)

Why? To keep the UI consistent throughout the platform and make the layout of the page more scalable.

Available To: All users

Release Date: No later than 15/4/2021

3. Switching events functionality

Users can easily access other events they’re part of within a single application through a ‘switch events button’ available in the sidebar navigation. User will open another event in a new tab and will be automatically logged in.

Why? To streamline cross-event experiences within a single-app context.

Release Date: No later than 15/4/2021

Improvements & New Features: Organisers

4. Hybrid Event Dashboard Developments

Newly added functionality in the Grip Dashboard that allows for the configuration of Hybrid Events.
Includes:

  • Event Format selection (Hybrid, Virtual, In-Person)
  • Categorization of Custom Groups
  • New meeting type called Hybrid Virtual

Why? To simply configure events that are wanting to have both in-person and virtual attendees

Available To: All mobile users
Release Type: Automatic
Release Date: Included in all new builds after 16/4/2021; existing active apps updated gradually (or on request)

Bugs & Fixes

  • Fixed: Issue relating to downloading exports for Teams that have special characters in their Team name
  • Fixed: Teams meeting calendar sync issue on a Hosted Buyer event
  • Fixed: Embedded video URL not appearing on the front end for singular exhibitor
  • Fixed: Minor display issue on ‘Send to calendar’ button
  • Fixed: Issue with chat button appearing incorrectly on profiles in Inbounds Leads lists
  • Fixed: Profile image not showing on certain users in session live chat
  • Fixed: Dashboard user access issues for multiple event
  • Fixed: Add to session button not responding on Chrome
  • Fixed: Native list navigation items not displaying any profiles
  • Fixed: Client being unable to remove metadata on dashboard for a multi-lingual event
