We’re just getting started

2016

Founded with the mission to connect people in-person, enabling them to meet and do business using Artificial Intelligence.

2017

Grew to 15 people, focussing on delivering better in-person events, and delivering intelligence and insights using the Grip platform. We built out the offering to event organizers with the launch of the most advanced web platform yet. Finally, we won some big customers, including Hyve and RX and a bunch of awards like the UFI Technology Award.

2019

Grew to 25 employees and expanded to new markets and countries. New clients include GSMA, the industry organisation that represents the interests of mobile network operators worldwide.

2020

The pandemic hit. In response, we built our virtual networking offering and expanded our digital tools to meet the needs of a market restricted in movement and the ability to meet in-person.

2021

Team grows to 100. We win some big customers like SXSW, the conference and festivals that celebrate the convergence of the interactive, film, and music industries.

2022

Return to in-person. We now run events in 47 countries and continue to grow our capabilities for meeting scheduling, networking, content delivery and most importantly our AI recommendations.  We win even more awards, this time the Eventex Best Event Technology Award.

2024

Grip acquires an event management system (EMS) from Connectiv Holdings, expanding its platform to help event organizers increase revenue. New features like registration and sponsor management offer flexibility to use Grip’s full suite of products or integrate with existing tools.
