Widgets

Showcase specific  event content on your website, seamlessly

Widgets let you select and embed specific elements of your event platform on your website, with your branding. Showcase your agenda, lists, floor plans and more, exactly where your audience is. No redirects, no third-party tools, no friction.

Turn your event content into powerful experiences

Widgets, Grip’s more advanced i-frame feature, gives you the flexibility to embed specific sections or full event views straight into your website. Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

What kind of event content can I embed using widgets?
You can embed individual navigation items such as the event agenda, native lists, or floor plans as standalone widgets. Alternatively, you can create a full event widget that includes a sidebar for navigating multiple items, providing a comprehensive experience right from your website.
Can I customize the look and feel of the widgets to match my brand?
Yes, widgets offer advanced customization settings, allowing you to tailor them to your brand. This includes options like hiding call-to-action buttons during different event phases.
Do widgets offer the same functionality as the Grip platform?
Yes, widgets deliver full feature parity with Grip, ensuring the embedded experience on your event website is just as powerful and provides instant access to features like agendas, maps, exhibitors, and sponsors directly from your website.
What specific types of content can be embedded using Grip widgets?
You can embed a variety of content types, including the event agenda (or pre-filtered versions), native lists (in both list and grid styles for items like speakers or exhibitors), floor plans, video libraries, and custom URLs. This allows for flexible and targeted content presentation on your website.
How are widgets configured and embedded into my website?
Widgets can be created, configured, and customized directly within Grip’s dashboard, through a user-friendly interface. Once configured, an embed code is generated which can easily be added to your website. Any future changes within the Grip dashboard will automatically update the embedded widget after saving.
What privacy controls are available for widgets?
For privacy and security reasons, only content marked as “public” within your event setup can be displayed in widgets. Personal user data, such as networking matches, personalised agendas, or custom profile fields, cannot be shown in widgets.
