  • Grip MCP connects AI applications like Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot directly to live event platform data.
  • Organizers can ask anything about their event setup in plain English and act on the answer in seconds.

Events are more complex than ever, and so are the configurations behind them. The organizers running them are stretched thin: logging into dashboards to check event status, searching for the right setting, manually reviewing configuration screens and context-switching between their AI tools and their event platform to answer questions.

Today, Grip closes that gap. With the launch of the Grip MCP, organizers can simply ask their AI tools, like Claude: “Is MustMeet enabled, and what groups are set up?” “What native integrations are active, and when did they last run?” “Are welcome emails configured and are they sending?” The answer comes back instantly, pulled from live Grip event data. It’s a full configuration review in a single conversation, saving organizers an estimated 10 hours per event on configuration.

“Organizers want their existing AI tools to integrate with their events,” said Tim Groot, CEO and Co-founder of Grip. “The Grip MCP gives organizers’ AI software, like Claude, full, structured context on their event. They ask in plain English. It answers with the live truth of their setup. Ten hours back per event changes how teams run events, and that’s just the start of what our MCP will do.”

From checking settings to agentic workflows

The Grip MCP is built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the open standard that lets AI applications connect to external data sources securely, in real time, without custom integrations. It already works with Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot and a growing list of AI tooling, and as the standard spreads, compatibility grows with it.

Beyond instant answers, the Grip MCP is the foundation of Grip’s new agentic layer for organizers and exhibitors. With structured event context in their AI, teams can build workflows like: Set Up My Event (an agent reviews the current configuration and generates a personalized setup plan with prioritized gaps and a 30-day launch timeline), Am I Ready to Launch? (a readiness score against the full playbook checklist), auto-generated stakeholder guides for internal teams, exhibitors and attendees, and post-event summaries benchmarking meetings, connections and adoption, ready for exec review.

The MCP is designed around trust. Access is read-only at launch, mirrors each organizer’s existing Grip permissions and is verified server-side on every request. Nobody sees an event they couldn’t already see in Grip, and exploring an event through an assistant carries no risk of changing it.

“Right now the Grip MCP answers questions in seconds and checks that your event is ready to go live,” said Tim. “Soon it will be able to draw from all the insights and intelligence that are stored in Grip and be able to distribute that as part of your agentic experiences.”

“Picture an agent that sets up your event, tells you when you’re ready to launch, briefs your exhibitors, then hands you a post-event summary before you’ve even left the venue. That’s the direction we’re heading. The MCP is the first step to making that possible.”
